Mirko Dreiling is born and raised in Castrop-Rauxel, Germany. He worked five years as an editor and producer in Germany before he, in 2003, joined the ‘Nederlandse Filmacademie’ in Amsterdam. His main work are documentaries. They explore parallel societies, everyday heroes and visions of the future. In his commercial work, from 2006, he combines his roots in music television and documentaries. In 2008 he moved back to Cologne to start a master study at the renowned Kunsthochschule für Medien, which he finished in 2012. Currently he is living and working in Berlin and Barcelona on different documentary and commercial projects.
