Jamille van Wijngaarden

Jamille van Wijngaarden is a film and commercial director from Amsterdam. At an early age, she managed to figure out her dads camera and started to make short films that involved the whole family. Even though she was a young girl she developed a taste for horror and massively influenced by THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and THE RING she set out to make her own scary movies, usually killing her dad in the end. 
Jamille graduated as a director at the Dutch Film Academy in 2014 and was praised for her graduation film HAPPILY NEVER AFTER, a humorous crime set in a fairy tale village.
After graduating she was asked by the Film Academy to direct a short film (15 min) showcasing what the various fields of studies are all about. This film, called THE WILD WILD WEST, is an humorous adventure film taking the viewer on a journey through the Film Academy and the world of cinema.
With the commercial SNOW WHITE she won an award at the Prix Europe Festival in Berlin in the category ‘Languages through Lenses’. 
In 2016 she directed the new Dutch television black-comedy sketch series INFANTILIO and she directed the virtual reality film ASHES TO ASHES.
